- Apple Pay

If you choose the "Apple Pay" payment method from Apple Distribution International (Apple), Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland, payment processing takes place via the "Apple Pay" function of your iOS, watchOS or macOS device by debiting a payment card stored in "Apple Pay". Apple Pay uses security features integrated into the hardware and software of your device to protect your transactions. To authorize a payment, you must enter a previously set code and verify it using the "Face ID" or "Touch ID" function of your device.

For the purpose of payment processing, your information provided during the order process, along with information about your order, will be transferred to Apple in encrypted form. Apple then encrypts this data again with a developer-specific key before the data is transmitted to the payment service provider of the payment card stored in Apple Pay for payment execution. The encryption ensures that only the website where the purchase was made can access the payment data. After the payment has been made, Apple sends your device account number and a transaction-specific, dynamic security code to the originating website to confirm successful payment.

If personal data is processed during the described transfers, the processing takes place exclusively for the purpose of payment processing in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

Apple retains anonymized transaction data, including the approximate purchase amount, approximate date and time, and whether the transaction was successfully completed. Anonymization completely excludes personal identification. Apple uses the anonymized data to improve "Apple Pay" and other Apple products and services.

When you use Apple Pay on your iPhone or Apple Watch to complete a purchase made through Safari on your Mac, the Mac and the authorization device communicate over an encrypted channel on Apple servers. Apple does not process or store any of this information in a format that identifies you. You can disable the ability to use Apple Pay on your Mac in your iPhone settings. Go to "Wallet & Apple Pay" and disable "Allow Payments on Mac".

9) Retargeting/Remarketing and Conversion Tracking

9.1 Meta Pixel with Extended Data Matching

Within our online offering, we use the "Meta Pixel" service from the following provider in the extended data matching mode: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Meta")

If a user clicks on an advertisement placed by us on Facebook or Instagram, the URL of our linked page is extended by a parameter with the help of "Meta Pixel". This URL parameter is then entered into the user's browser after redirection by a cookie that our linked page itself sets. In addition, this cookie collects specific customer data such as the email address, which we collect on our website linked to the Facebook or Instagram advertisement during processes such as purchases, account logins, or registrations (extended data matching). The cookie is then read out and enables the transmission of the data, including the specific customer data, to Meta.

We use "Meta Pixel" with extended data matching to make our advertisements (so-called "ads") on Facebook and/or Instagram more effective and to ensure that they correspond to the interests of users or have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products, which are determined based on the websites visited) that we transmit to Meta (so-called "Custom Audiences").

Furthermore, we analyze the effectiveness of our advertisements by tracking whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on an advertisement (conversion). Compared to the standard version of "Meta Pixel", the extended data matching function helps us to better measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns by recording more attributed conversions.

All transmitted data is stored and processed by Meta, so that an assignment to the respective user profile is possible and Meta can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with Meta's data usage guidelines (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). The data may enable Meta and its partners to display advertisements on and off Facebook.

All processing described above, in particular the setting of cookies for reading information on the terminal device used, will only be carried out if you have given us your explicit consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your given consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider that ensures the protection of our site visitors' data and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

The information generated by Meta is usually transferred to a Meta server and stored there; in this context, a transfer to Meta Platforms Inc. servers in the USA may also occur.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

9.2 Snap Pixel (Snapchat)

This website uses the conversion tracking technology of the following provider: Snap Inc., 63 Market Street, Venice, CA 90291, USA

If you have reached our website from an advertisement on the provider's domain, the success of the advertisement can be tracked with the help of cookies and/or similar technologies (tracking pixels, web beacons, pings or HTTP requests).

For this purpose, certain end device and browser information, including possibly your IP address, is read out via the tracking technology in order to record and evaluate user actions predefined by us (e.g. completed transactions, leads, search queries on the website, calls of product pages). This enables the creation of statistics on user behavior on our website after redirection from an advertisement, which serves to optimize our offer.

All processing described above, in particular the setting of cookies for reading out information on the end device used, will only be carried out if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your given consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider, which ensures the protection of our site visitors' data and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

For the transfer of data to the USA, the provider relies on standard contractual clauses of the European Commission, which are intended to ensure compliance with the European level of data protection.

9.3 TikTok Pixel

This website uses the conversion tracking technology of the following provider: TikTok Technology Limited, 10 Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin, D02 T380, Ireland

10) Site functionalities

10.1 Facebook Plugins

Our website uses plugins of the social network of the following provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland

These plugins enable direct interactions with content on the social network.

In order to increase the protection of your data when visiting our website, the plugins are initially deactivated and integrated into the page using a so-called "2-click" or "Shariff" solution.

This integration ensures that when you access a page of our website that contains such plugins, no connection is yet established with the provider's servers.

Only when you activate the plugins and thereby give your consent to the data transfer in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR, your browser establishes a direct connection to the provider's servers. In this process, regardless of whether you are logged in to an existing user profile, certain information about your end device (including your IP address), your browser and your page history is transmitted to the provider and possibly further processed there.

If you are logged into an existing user profile on the provider's social network, information about interactions carried out via the plugins is also published there and displayed to your contacts.
You can revoke your consent at any time by deactivating the activated plugin by clicking on it again. However, the revocation does not affect the data already transferred to the provider.

Data may also be transferred to: Meta Platforms Inc., USA

We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider, which ensures the protection of our site visitors' data and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

10.2 Instagram Plugins

Our website uses plugins of the social network of the following provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2 Ireland

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

10.3 Google Maps

This website uses an online mapping service from the following provider: Google Maps (API) from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”).

Google Maps is a web service for displaying interactive (land) maps to visualize geographical information. By using this service, our location is displayed to you and any journey is made easier.

When you access the subpages into which the Google Maps map is embedded, information about your use of our website (such as your IP address) is transmitted to Google servers and stored there. This may also involve a transfer to the servers of Google LLC in the USA. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether a user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly associated with your account. If you do not wish for your data to be associated with your profile on Google, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data (even for users who are not logged in) as usage profiles and evaluates them.

The collection, storage and evaluation are carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR on the basis of Google's legitimate interest in the display of personalized advertising, market research and/or the needs-based design of Google websites. You have a right to object to the creation of these user profiles, for the exercise of which you must contact Google. If you do not agree to the future transmission of your data to Google in the context of using Google Maps, it is also possible to completely deactivate the Google Maps web service by switching off the JavaScript application in your browser. Google Maps and thus also the map display on this website cannot then be used.

Insofar as legally required, we have obtained your consent for the processing of your data described above in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your given consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, please follow the possibility of objecting described above.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

10.4 Google Maps API

To enable real-time error checking of certain entries in the address form of our webshop's order process, we use the services of the following provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland

Data may also be transferred to: Google LLC., USA

The provider validates the entered address, verifies the spelling and, if necessary, adds missing data. For ambiguous addresses, correct alternative suggestions are displayed. For this purpose, the address data you enter is transmitted to the provider, stored there and evaluated.

This processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in the proper recording of the correct address data of the customer for the conscientious fulfillment of our contractual delivery obligations and for the prevention of problems in contract execution.

The provider processes the affected data separately and does not combine it with other data sets, and deletes it as soon as its status or correctness has been confirmed, but no later than after 30 days.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

10.5 - Google reCAPTCHA

On this website, we use the CAPTCHA service of the following provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland

For the visual design of the captcha window, the provider uses "Google Fonts", i.e. fonts downloaded from the internet by Google. No further information than that mentioned above, which is already transmitted to Google via the reCAPTCHA functionality, is processed here.

The service checks whether an entry is made by a natural person or abusively by machine and automated processing, and blocks spam, DDoS attacks and similar automated malicious access. To ensure that an action is performed by a human and not by an automated bot, the provider collects the IP address of the end device used, identification data of the browser and operating system type used, as well as the date and duration of the visit, and transmits these to the provider's servers for evaluation. Cookies, i.e. small text files that are stored in the browser of the end device, may be used here.

Insofar as the processing described above is carried out on the basis of cookies, these are only set if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your given consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

If the processing described above is carried out without the use of cookies, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in determining individual self-responsibility on the Internet and preventing misuse and spam in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider, which ensures the protection of our site visitors' data and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

10.6 Google Translate

This website uses the translation service "Google Translate" of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google") via an API integration. In order for the translation to be automatically displayed according to your choice of a national language, the browser you are using connects to Google's servers. In this process, certain browser information, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google.

Google may use so-called "cookies", i.e. small text files that are stored on your end device, to store language settings. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including the shortened IP address) is usually transmitted to a Google server and stored there.

The processing described above may also involve a transfer to the servers of Google LLC in the USA.

If cookies are also set when using Google Translate, the processing described above will only be carried out if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your given consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

10.7 Shopsync for Shopify

This website uses the Shopify app "Shopsync" from ShopSync LLC, PO Box 252, Jefferson City, TN 37760, USA.
With the help of ShopSync, the newsletter service "Mailchimp" is synchronized with our Shopify account in such a way that, on the one hand, updates in Mailchimp email lists (e.g. a newsletter recipient opting out) are automatically stored on Shopify and, on the other hand, new contact data generated via contracts on Shopify is automatically transferred to Mailchimp's email lists.

In the former case, data processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR based on our legitimate interest in the effective and cross-system maintenance of advertising recipient files and the efficient observance of legally significant status changes.

In the latter case, exclusively based on the user's explicit consent according to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR, after a contract has been concluded on Shopify, their first and last name, address, and email address, along with transaction-related information (purchase amount, time, and date of purchase), are transferred by ShopSync to Mailchimp for inclusion in the Mailchimp list.

Data transferred in this way is not stored or retained by ShopSync after synchronization. All information synchronized between Shopify and Mailchimp is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology, and all transmitted information remains encrypted during the synchronization process.

The synchronization process requires the transfer of information over a secure connection to servers hosted by Amazon Web Services in the USA.

Further privacy information regarding ShopSync can be found here: https://www.shop-sync.com/privacy-policy

If personal data is processed in this context, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in efficient organization and documentation of our business processes in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

11.2 Cookie Consent Tool

This website uses a so-called "Cookie Consent Tool" to obtain effective user consent for cookies and cookie-based applications that require consent. The "Cookie Consent Tool" is displayed to users in the form of an interactive user interface when they visit the page, on which consent for certain cookies and/or cookie-based applications can be given by checking a box. Through the use of this tool, all cookies/services requiring consent are only loaded if the respective user gives their consent by checking the corresponding box. This ensures that such cookies are only placed on the respective user's end device if consent has been given.

The tool sets technically necessary cookies to save your cookie preferences. Personal user data is generally not processed in this context.

Another legal basis for processing is also Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR. As controllers, we are subject to the legal obligation to make the use of technically non-essential cookies dependent on the respective user's consent.

Where necessary, we have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider, which ensures the protection of our site visitors' data and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.
